A designer that has taken fashion and technology to the next level in full force is Hussein Chalayan.
Dubbed as the ‘mad scientist’ of fashion, Chalayan partnered up with Swarovski for a dress made up of Swarovski crystals and 15,000 LED lights and also showcased his ‘transforming dress’ collection in 2013.It is great to see this new found friendship between fashion and technology as it will open doors for upcoming designers, create new and innovative designs and collaborations, as you wouldn’t think that you could walk into a science lab and see the next big fashion statement being made.
